Britt Crowe | Photographer of Love & Magic

x was top of our priorities. She was incredible - she let us be ourselves but provided some structure to help guide us along. We did our engagement photos in our backyard with our dog, and Britt was a champ in every possible way. I almost cried when we got our photos back as she so perfectly captured our happy little family, and most importantly, we still looked and felt like ourselves. We were drawn to Britt's effortless style and her ability to capture the special small moments in between more traditional formal shots. We recently got our preview for our wedding back and I'm even more amazed at Britt's eye for finding connections between people in her photos. We can't recommend her highly enough!

her cat, who just so happens to be my cat’s long lost twin! After checking out her page and messaging her to tell her that our cats are pretty much basically siblings, I found out she’s a photographer! I immediately fell in love with her photo style and knew in that moment she would be the person I’d hire to shoot my wedding... I wasn’t even engaged yet, but I just knew! Fast forward to 2017, after 8 years together my now husband proposed and I immediately contacted Britt! Now here’s the good stuff. Britt is literally the most patient person ever, and I’m the most indecisive person ever... I changed my venue 3 times, my husband lost his job; postponing the initial wedding date.. all before we finally decided on Big Sur. Britt so graciously understood. Fast forward to Sept 2019, she flew to LA, drove all the way up to Big Sur and stayed the weekend in the redwoods with us! On my wedding day, I was car sick, the coordination of the day was a mess, but she was a solid rock through all of the ups and downs and what resulted are the most beautiful photos, that my husband and I will cherish for the rest of our lives. I cannot thank my lucky stars enough, and the universe for helping me find her super cute cat on Instagram that day all those years ago. Britt is truly a photography goddess!

that she took are just incredible. We had so much fun with her on our wedding day, and she kept everything timely but also was very relaxed and a calming presence. Then, later she was all over the dance floor snapping phtotos of our guests. She takes beautiful portraits but also incredible modern photographs that we are so excited to have. After everything is over, you have the photos to look back on, and hers had me in tears. I cannot say enough good things!!

She didn't send us an engagement photo we didn't RAVE about. In fact the only thing we didn't like was narrowing it down to 4 or 5 of them to have on our welcome table at the wedding!! Britt's work speaks volumes about the professional photographer she is. Again, I implore you to check out her Instagram, you will understand immediately what I mean. She is an incredibly gifted artist, and an even more gifted person. She got to know Kathryn and my backstory before meeting, familiarized herself with our sense of style, and used this information to create artwork that is visually magnificent as well as incredibly us. This is no small task, and she pulls it off with seemingly no effort. During the wedding day photography, Britt was able to think and have a clear vision in mind for capturing. Even with all of the craziness and moving parts, she's present and steadfast. During our first look, she was thoughtful to not only capture our first time seeing each other, but to also capture thoughtful touches of the scenery around us. She took shots through doorways, with and without rays of sunlight, and always had a vision in mind of the best possible shots and gave us advice if we had ideas that would or would not work. Even with the entire bridal party in one space, she clearly and effectively communicated the shots she needed to get, and instructed everyone on when & where they needed to be. The day of the wedding, Britt was given the impossible task of capturing our massive families in photos together. I was about to lose my nerve with our family. My bride was about to lose her nerve with our family. None of them stayed near the altar as they were asked to, and we had to go grab them individually from cocktail hour. Did Britt lose her cool, or show any signs of frustration? Not once. If you are looking for the definition of patience and grace, look under Britt Crowe in the dictionary. Of Love & Magic was the easiest decision we made during our wedding planning process. Britt is worth EVERY penny, and the photos last longer than the day. Make sure you capture them with a true professional who understands who you are as a couple. Britt, we will forever cherish the photos you captured, and the time we were able to share with you. anized. We live in Canada and wanted our engagement photos done in Joshua Tree. She had no problem meeting us there and knew which locations she wanted to shoot but was also always on the lookout for random beautiful moments. She also makes you feel very comfortable and the photos will not disappoint! We would have booked her for our wedding if we were getting married in the Palm Springs area. Book this girl! She’s the best :)

in the months running up were always so constructive, thoughtful, and extremely flexible. And on the day of, she was an absolute rockstar: managing lots of different personalities (family, friends, etc) to make sure we got the right pictures without accidentally pissing anyone off. She was firm while still managing to be supportive and warm. While we haven't yet seen the full wedding photos (review to be updated once we have), the preview gallery she sends a week after the wedding already shows what an amazing photographer she is. We can't wait to see the rest!

ray of sunshine but someone who was down to earth, really professional, willing to tell it like it is, but also at the same time incredibly warm and fun. This is an extremely rare combination. Every time we met with Britt either on the phone, through a web conference, or in person, it was like meeting someone we had known and been friends with for ages. She really listens to what you want, and she pays attention to you, your story, and your aesthetics. These are all things that Britt takes into account when planning with you for the big day. Britt was instrumental in helping us figure out our timeline for the day, and worked seamlessly with all of our other vendors to make sure that everything went smoothly as possible. Britt also has the best sense of humor, and this shines through in her work, as wedding days can be high-stress and with a lot of people running around. She was able to command and direct attention as needed, but did so with utmost humor and grace. I don't know how she does it. Britt is a dream of a person, her work is fantastic and beautiful, and we would hire her again or recommend her in a heartbeat. I only wish we had more reasons to get our photos taken professionally by her (or like, reasons to hang out with her)! She is the best of the best- you won't find someone more committed to working with you to make sure your day is beautiful and well-documented. <3

she created a customized package for us that really fit our needs. Plus, she was fun, down-to-earth, flexible and very professional. She has such a way of making you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Britt even captured great shots of our fur baby during our engagement session and wedding. We received our galleries in a timely manner and she provided sneak peek shots the day of. We couldn't be more grateful, we will cherish these photographs for a lifetime.

t was unforgettable! She truly became a part of the festivities. So much so we wanted her to join us to hang out the rest of the weekend! She truly got to know us and helped to create a day and an album that represented us. She was professional and listened to everything we wanted and even helped us decide on photos we didn't even know we wanted! Very prompt communication all around.

and a lot personality. We booked her for our engagement photos + wedding photos in Santa Barbara. She captured the magical feeling of the day in so many ways. We had a pretty specific vision and vibe of what we wanted in our photographs. Britt worked with us to capture that in a realistic way that felt like us. Not only do we LOVE our images but the turnaround time was quick and she communicated with us throughout the whole process.
